Mark Fast

As soon as the Mark Fast controversy came out from his catwalk display of showcasing his work on size 14 and 16 models I fell in love with his collection. I didn't think that his dresses looked too good on the larger models but it was a good publicity stunt.
When shopping recently I tried on a dress form topshop that I thought was a complete replica of a Mark Fast Dress. But because it is knitted and crochet material the amount of holes in the dress proved a bit of a problem. And without realising my nipple was out. Now I am obliged to the odd nipple showcasing but my mommy wasn't. So didn't buy it. But My good pal Kate Brazier said that Mark Fast is to be bringing out a collection for Topshop soon so can't wait for that!

Stella McCartney Lingerie
Saw this colletion and it reminded me of the photography bried I did for Vic Secret - same location and feel with neutral colours and country house setting.

My New Balmain Stylee Shoes
Really wanted a pair of Balmain style heels to go with jeans or bare legged and I found the perfect pair in ... RIVER ISLAND! £44.99 they were well worth it!
Balmain Catwalk...
The heel is small enough to wear in the day, unlike Topshop's version which was like prostitute shoes! (Image Below)

Luella
So its spring 09. The time where fashion designers showcase their collections to fashion critics across the globe. Perhaps though, it is the fervent eyes of every ubiquitous 'it' girl, perched cross legged, clutching their chanel bags in anticipation, that stirs up the gut renching anxiety for the opulent fashion authorities.
Slightly overwhelmed by the amass of catwalk collections. I decided to narrow my sights for a label that epitomises fresh Bristish style, Luella Bartley. Her collections have adorned the glossy pages of magazines from Vogue to high street weeklys since her reputation flew sky high after the Spring/Summer 08 collections that were inarguably replicated throughout high street stores. The collection remains cemented in my mind - floral tea dresses, geek glasses, cute and quirky colours and lace up boots. Luella is a real breath of fresh air in the closet of high end fashion that to be honest - has become a bit stuffy.

So in honour of Luella - here are some of my favourite looks from her Spring 09 collection. Keeping in continuity with her previous collections - but with an even more intricate take on textures.

Australian Fashion Line founded by Kym Ellery. Just really like the style of her line. Risk Taking yet on trend with the rock n roll edgyness. Slightly Reminiscent of Balmain?
